This culture is defined by one that is collaborative, decisive, accountable, and patient/provider focused;</li><li>Builds strong physician and staff relations by being visible, engaged, and intentional about developing trust and establishing credibility;</li><li>Focused on associate engagement and retention by executing initiatives designed to reduce turnover and increase retention;</li><li>Collaborates with Ascension leadership and medical staff to identify and develop new patient care programs, policies and procedures;</li><li>Develops and implements programs to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care provided by the organization;</li><li>At a market level, ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to nursing services and healthcare; </li><li>Assures continuity and consistency of nursing care standards and practice;</li><li>Collaboratively develops and implements Ascension nursing policies, objectives, and initiatives;</li><li>Provides feedback, coaching, development, and performance reporting to nursing staff;</li><li>Embraces a matrix-reporting organization; </li><li>Implements, monitors, and adjusts nursing department operations to ensure compliance with established standards;</li><li>Using a high level of financial acumen, oversees productivity, operations, budget, and financial targets; </li><li>Keeps current on innovative concepts, practices, and procedures in nursing; </li><li>Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;</li><li>Provides consultation on complex projects and considered to be the top-level nursing contributor/specialist. </li></ul><h3>Requirements </h3><p><strong>Licenses/Certifications/Registration:</strong></p><p><strong>Required Credential(s):</strong></p><ul><li>Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.</li><li>Nurse Executive credentialed from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) preferred.</li><li>Nurse Executive credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Master's degree required in nursing, business administration, and/or health administration preferred</li></ul><p>Work Experience:</p><ul><li>5 years of experience required.</li><li>10 years of experience preferred.</li><li>2 years of leadership or management experience required.</li><li>5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.</li><li>Experience working with an integrated, matrix-reporting healthcare system.</li></ul><h3>Additional Preferences </h3><p>#le@der </p><h3>Why Join Our Team </h3><p>Ascension Seton, based in Austin, Texas, has provided thousands of associates and caregivers a rewarding career in healthcare since 1902.
